Often when we are overwhelmed by tasks, it is not because there are too many of them. It is because we have committed to doing things that we don't really want to do. The easiest way to sort your tasks is to decide which things fall within your purpose and intended direction. If you perform a task that you are passionate about you are able to complete it much faster than a task that you are not passionate about. Think about the types of tasks that get you excited. These probably fit within your purpose and you flew right through them.
Any task that falls outside of your purpose or intended direction, that is those tasks that you can not get passionate about, either politely turn them down or delegate them to others. Things that you have to do but don't want to do can usually be delegated as well. Sort your to-do lists into things that fall within your purpose and those that do not as well as those that you like to do and those that you do not. Figure out which tasks can be delegated or shared and which you can toss out altogether. You will find it much easier to get through your lists.
